چکیده

A complete 1.9GHz receiver, with BAW resonatorreferenced input matching network, is designed as a wakeup receiver for wireless sensor networks. The 90nm CMOS chip includes RF amplifier, PGA, ADC, and reference generation, while consuming 65μW from a single 0.5V supply. The input RF bandwidth of the receiver is 7MHz, while the maximum data rate is 100kbps. When detecting a 31-bit sequence, the receiver exhibits -56dBm sensitivity for 90% probability of detection.

A 10 mm3 Inductive Coupling Radio for Syringe-Implantable Smart Sensor Nodes

We present a near-field radio system for a millimeter-scale wireless smart sensor node that is implantable through a 14-gauge syringe needle. The proposed system integrates a radio system on chip and a magnetic antenna on a glass substrate within a total dimension of 1 × 1 × 10 mm3. We demonstrate energy-efficient active near-field wireless communication between the millimeter-scale sensor node...

A novel sleep/wakeup power management in wireless sensor network: A Fuzzy TOPSIS approach

The wireless sensor network (WSN) is typically comprised many tiny nodes equipped with processors, sender/receiver antenna and limited battery in which it is impossible or not economic to recharge. Meanwhile, network lifespan is one of the most critical issues because of limited and not renewal used battery in WSN. Several mechanisms have been proposed to prolong network lifespan such as LEACH,...

14.6-GHz LiNbO3 Microdisk Photonic Self-Homodyne RF Receiver

Nonlinear optical modulation combined with simultaneous photonic and RF resonance in an LiNbO3 microdisk modulator is used to create a self-homodyne photonic RF receiver. Carrier and sidebands are mixed in the optical domain, and the modulated optical signal is detected using a photodetector. The photodetector has a bandwidth matched to the baseband signal. It filters out the high-frequency com...

Dedication To My parents

A self-homodyne photonic receiver for transmitted carrier wireless links isdemonstrated. The key innovations in this photonic RF-receiver are the design andimplementation of a resonant LiNbO3 microdisk electro-optic modulator and novelRF down-conversion techniques that exploit the sensitivity of the microdisk forefficient RF down-conversion in the optical domain. By careful RF a...
